​Nestled in the scenic rolling hills of Paso Robles, California, Rúakh Wines is a distinctive boutique winery founded and passionately operated by owner and winemaker Samantha Mogull Esquivel. The name Rúakh, rooted in Hebrew, translates to “spirit” or “breath,” embodying the life force and energy that infuse each bottle produced here. Samantha’s journey to winemaking began after moving to San Luis Obispo County in 2013, where she immersed herself in the study of enology and viticulture. Over nearly a decade of hands-on experience working alongside mentors in the region, Samantha developed a deep appreciation for crafting wines that emphasize texture, complexity, and emotional resonance. Rúakh Wines represents her personal vision to create wines that are not only tasted but felt—wines characterized by bold structure, elegant astringency, and a profound sensory presence that captures the essence of the Paso Robles terroir.

​As of 2025, Rúakh Wines operates exclusively by appointment, offering intimate and personalized tasting experiences that often include barrel samples and one-on-one conversations with Samantha herself. This approach allows guests to engage deeply with the winemaking process and understand the thoughtful craftsmanship behind every release. The winery’s portfolio is carefully curated with small-lot productions, including standout offerings like the 2023 Un Capricho (100% Mourvèdre), Listen to the Must’nts (a Grenache and Syrah blend), and Conversations with Strangers (100% Syrah). Each wine is meticulously crafted to highlight the unique character of the varietals and the region’s diverse soils and microclimates.
