Loma Seca Vineyards is a boutique, sustainable estate perched on approximately 160 acres in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles, California—just ten minutes from the town center. Certified organic by CCOF, the property features about 35 acres planted with nine grape varieties on steep, southwest‑facing slopes at around 1,800 ft elevation. The vines are head‑trained and entirely dry‑farmed in limestone‑rich, calcareous soils, promoting naturally deep root systems and the expression of terroir in robust, mineral‑driven wines. Vineyard work—including pruning and harvest—is done by hand, and the operation avoids irrigation, herbicides, and pesticides, aligning with its long‑standing commitment to eco‑friendly farming practices. Founded in 2012—initially planting red varieties like Garnacha Tinta, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Primitivo, and later adding Syrah, Grenache Blanc, Vermentino, and Riesling—the vineyard draws inspiration from a family legacy of Napa farming dating back to the early 20th century. The wines are known for their vibrant acidity and freshness, thanks to the alkaline soils and the site’s high diurnal temperature shifts, which preserve natural acidity even in warm growing seasons. Loma Seca produces a limited number of small-batch wines, including bold reds like Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah, Rhône‑style blends, a distinctive 3‑Sum white (co‑fermented Grenache Blanc, Vermentino, and Riesling), and floral‑green minerality in their Rosé—all reflective of the rugged Adelaida terroir.
