Boutz Cellars is a boutique wine and spirits producer located at 7055 Adelaida Road in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles, California. Founded by the Boutzoukas family, the estate reflects their strong Greek heritage, featuring both traditional Rhône-style and indigenous Greek varietals. Their two estate vineyards—Kendros and Boutz Ranch—cover roughly 50 acres, planted across diverse microclimates and soils to yield distinctive fruit expression. The family employs sustainable farming practices, and their early fruit from 2023 Greek white varieties such as Assyrtiko, Vidiano, and Moschofilero received very positive feedback upon debut. Boutz Cellars welcomes visitors by appointment only, offering tastings ($25), light charcuterie, and vineyard hikes. Their portfolio includes classic red varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Petite Sirah, alongside experimental releases such as their signature Kri‑Kri Raki (Tsikoudia), a Cretan spirit introduced in 2020. One standout wine is their Dasos Mourvèdre blend—named after the Greek word for “forest”—a robust, earthy red wine that features flavors of dried cranberries, red cherries, leather, and mushrooms, showcasing the wild, rustic character of estate-grown Mourvèdre.
